A Little History:
The Runnin WJ Benefit Barrel Race is an annual divisional race that benefits the Runnin WJ Therapeutic Riding Center. The race takes place in Texarkana, AR, at the Four States Fairgrounds in an air-conditioned coliseum, surrounded by a covered warm-up arena, covered stall area and plenty of RV hookups.
The 1st Annual Runnin WJ Benefit Barrel Race took place in New Boston, TX, in 2008 with $3,000 Added and approximately 200 entries on one day.
The move to Texarkana, AR, in 2009 for the 2nd Annual Runnin WJ Benefit Barrel Race proved to be a success. The ground was excellent and the times got faster each day!
2023 marks the 16th year for The Runnin WJ Benefit Barrel Race.
